    great to see a film …
    great to see a film giving jockeys some credit. i think you should do a film on national hunt jockeys in the uk. my boyfriend broke his neck 3 years ago in a fall and has been in a wheelchaiur since. tragic but jockeys really do deserve some recognition

    My dad is a jockey and he is curently injured and a close friend just recently died on the track. So I understand. This is a great vid but it still is a great sport. If you would like to read about my friend who just died you can find the article on google news.

    Hey Matt, you made a really good movie!
    But in most of the races don’t happen accidents, right?
    In Holland only one jockey fell of his horse (in 2007), and he didn’t break anything.
    I’m not a jockey myself, though I’d like to be one. (Unfortunately I live 136 miles away from the racetrack for thoroughbreds)
    I know you can get injured very bad, or even die, but to me it’s still the greatest sport on the world.

    hence the reason i decided to not become a jockey… I prefer to stay on the ground side of the race horses, i groom and train… I retrain them but that’s obviously not as dangerous…

    I absolutely agree …
    I absolutely agree with that statement. That will be the next documentary. Jockeys also give their lives. My father almost lost his life when I was a kid.

    And yes, i fall down a couple off times. Beinig trownover.. Trowndown..
    But when i’m again on a horse i don’t think off falling.. I like it to mutch.. hihi.
    But you far away know that you can fall hard..
